Approach

 My practice is focused on women by helping them navigate divorce, single parenting, children grown and leaving home, loss of identity, overwhelm, burnout, low self worth or self esteem, life's transitions, and other situational circumstances that can add stress, anxiety, or sadness to our lives.  Women carry so many things for everyone else and we end up putting ourselves last, to our own detriment at times.

Whether you are going through a divorce, managing raising children on your own, trying to do and be everything to everyone while losing yourself in the process or never feeling like enough, I am here to support and walk alongside you. My own lived experiences of going through divorce and raising my two incredible sons as a single mom, brings an understanding and empathetic approach that influence and guide my practice focus. 

My Practice

As a Registered Social Worker, I am educated and trained to work from a strengths based, trauma informed and anti-oppressive practice approach. As well, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy.

My counselling services are covered by most insurance providers such as Alberta Blue Cross, Telus Health, Sunlife and Provider Connect. Check with your benefits provider prior to our first session to ensure that you have coverage, as plans and coverage vary.
